Standard Toll Free Numbers (Area codes 888/877/866)

Traditional Toll Free Numbers (Area code 800)

• Set Up Fee: $5/number
• Monthly fee: $5/number
• 6.9¢ per minute: Anywhere in the 48 contiguous states. *

All numbers beginning with 800,888,877, and 866 are toll-free and work exactly the same. The 800 area code has been in use the longest and 800 numbers receive more wrong number calls. 800 numbers are more popular as the public is more familiar with them, but most 800 numbers are already in use. 888 is the next oldest, followed by 877. 866 numbers are the newest and have the best availability and fewest wrong number calls.

Preferred numbers (Repeater Numbers)

Exotic numbers (Numbers that spell something)
If you'd like the last four digits of your toll free number to translate into an actual word or name, an Exotic Number is for you. Examples of exotic numbers are 1-866-379-TOYS (866-379-8697), or 1-877-996- BILL (1-877-996-2455).

National Toll Free Database Search
Search for the number(s) of your choice directly from the national toll free number database. You may conduct as many searches as you would like to find the number that is perfect for you. Search for up to 10 numbers at a time, or for one number only. Choose your favorite from the available numbers.

• Monthly service fee: $10/number.

Call Recording & Retrieval Service
There is no equipment to buy, no minimums, and no usage related fees. The monthly fee includes storage of each message for 30 days from the date it is recorded. It also includes the provision of a personalized greeting prior to recording such as, "Thank you for calling [Company]. Your call may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance. Please wait while your call is being connected".

• One time set up fee: $60/account
• Monthly fee: $60/account up to 3000 messages Each additional block of 3,000 messages is an extra $60 per month.
• To archive calls past the 30 days offered, the charge is $50 per month up to 3,000 messages and an additional $5 per month for each block of messages over 3,000. A block of archived messages consists of 1,000 calls.
• 6.9¢/minute: Anywhere in the continental U.S.*

Calls From Payphones
Calls to a Great Lakes Digital Toll Free toll free number that originate from a payphone are charged at $0.50 per call in addition to the normal per minute rate (this surcharge is per call not per minute). Toll free numbers may be blocked from receiving calls from payphones for a one time charge of $10 per number blocked. (To have them unblocked again is another $10.)

*Calls originating in Alaska and Hawaii are an additional 25¢ per minute, calls originating in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are an additional 15¢ per minute and calls originating in Canada are an additional 20¢ per minute.
